Portland, Oregon is occupied territory. It was invaded years ago by a non-native species of political animal from back east who took over our political and cultural institutions in order to try out their utopian socialist dreams on our great state. This blog will chronicle the insurgency that is trying to free Oregon from the occupiers' grip by shining a bright light on their most egregious schemes.

May I respectfully suggest that Jasun Worster is right about getting signatures on a voluntary basis. As an experienced petitioner, I can vouch for his approach. Volunteer non-paid petitioners are the only way to go on the Adams Recall effort. Why? Because opponents can and will say the effort was being paid for those big bad whatever rich people who are picking on poor Sam. That is a primary way of attacking a petition effort. Jasun's arguments about the educational value of unpaid petitioners circulating petition sheets is also right on the mark. Far from being quixotic, his approach is the only way this effort can succeed. So, urge your listeners to get out there and circulate a petition, for gosh sake!
I concur with above comment. I heard your request for volunteers on your Sunday morning radio program. Have you had a chance to talk to Jasun Wurster directly? He now has listed several locations on the Recall Sam Adams website where individuals can sign a petition. It would be helpful, if you are inclined, to broadcast these locations when you are on the radio. Anyone who would like to collect signatures is also welcome, but they need to contact Jasun for instruction and petitions. Thanks for your support and interest. Tom
